Bio: Aubree Hughes is a public relations undergraduate and media relations director for a student-run PR firm. Aubree serves as the Vice President of Digital Communication for Oklahoma Christian University’s Public Relations Student Society of America chapter. She is a News OK Contributor and previously worked as a sports journalist for OC’s newspaper, The Talon. Aubree was selected among the states top college students to attend the Oklahoma Summer Policy Institute. She also handled different aspects of public relations and communications interning with Congressman Tom Cole in his Norman office. She stays up-to-date on current events serving on Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt’s Student Leadership Council. Aubree is passionate about volunteering at animal shelters and helping her hometown in media production for an adoption awareness campaign. As an officer in OC’s PRSSA chapter, she updates social media and sends out a weekly newsletter for members. She enjoys spending time with the members and getting to know her PR family and build stronger relationships in the communications department at OC. Politics is an important issue to Aubree. She exercises her sovereignty by partaking in gubernatorial campaigns and other volunteer services during the election season. Aubree is a member of OC’s Track and Cross Country team that was recognized by the Heartland Conference for top student-athlete GPA.
